Mad Matterhorn has nothing to do with video slots since there are no reels, no paylines, no bonus games and no other typical elements of any slot, whether classic or modern. The aim of the game is to climb up the snowy mountain by guessing correctly if the next number will be of a higher or lower value than the preceding one.

You start the game at the bottom of the mountain. The first flag on your way will show a random number between 1 and 18. You should then predict whether the number on the second flag will be higher or lower, by choosing a respective button. Then the second flag will display the number. If you have guessed correctly, you continue guessing numbers along the mountain track until reaching the end of the level. If you make a mistake, you lose your initial bet and start playing from the very beginning.

After each completed level, you get an extra life that will allow you to make one mistake on the next level without losing the game.

Upon reaching the end of your current level, the win amount will be shown. You may collect it and end the game, or continue playing on the next level and try to win a bigger award. Completing level 1 pays out 2 to 1 (your bet multiplied by x2), completing level 2 pays 5 to 1, and so on. Reaching the end of level 5 (top) awards your bet multiplied by x100.

The stake per game ranges from $0.2 to $100. Placing the maximum bet you have the chance to grab $10,000 if you progress through all five levels and make it to the mountain top.
