Flying Ace Review
Flying Ace from Microgaming is a 3-reel 5-payline slot with the WWII aviation twist as you can judge by the title. The slot is based on the classic gaming mechanics and has a wild symbol as the only one special feature. Since Flying Ace has five paylines, winning combos occur fairly often, though these are mostly low-paying combinations that consist of letters “A”. The letters “A” in this game are similar to classic cherries in what they do in other slot machines – they award a small win if one, two or three land on a payline.
Coin values are traditional for Microgaming and are adjusted from $0.25 to $5. Each line is designed to have one coin wagered so covering all the lines requires you to spend $1.25 to $25. Regular symbols award x1 to x300 a line bet, with the most generous being a patriotic girl sitting on a missile.
Regular symbols pay out a fixed coin prize regardless of the payline the combination is created on; for example, three Girl Badges displayed on line 1 or 5 award the same $1500 at max. But the Pilot symbol behaves differently. Every coin put into play unlocks a new jackpot level, starting at 1000 coins and ultimately reaching 6000 coins. The jackpot amount payable for three Pilots is determined by the line it appears on. For example, hitting that combo on line 1 (central) gives 1000 coins, while seeing the same combo on line 5 (diagonal) awards a big 6000 coins or $30,000 on the max bet. The only requirement to qualify for the highest sum is to bet 5 coins of the maximum five-dollar denomination.

The Pilot is also a common wild symbol, which function is to help other symbols complete winning combinations. The wild has no multiplier attached when substituting.
